26A – Celebrating Failure
26A – Celebrating Failure
1) There was one week where I'm genuinely not sure what happen, but I didn't turn in any of my assignments. The following week I checked canvas to see multiple missing assignments, my jaw dropped. I don't know if my brain stopped working that week, this it was a failure for me during my time in this class. With every failure comes a lesson learned, its so important to be thorough when taking an online class.
2) The main lesson learned was to be on top of my school work. I said in the question above online classes are different because there is no one there to tell you anything, theres no in person communication, it is all up to you through a computer. Time management and organization is essential in being successful in an online class.
3) Actually, recently my whole perspective on failure has changed. I now understand failure is essential for growth and progress. The more you put yourself out there, the more you learn. Nothing in this life is good or bad, it just is. It is up to us to learn from everything and not play the victim card when failures happen.
I like your acknowledgement of failure in the third part because it truly is necessary to grow as a person. Something to support this would be that in order to grow we have to go after more and more opportunities to progress. For me, just as a sign of life we have to realize that we aren't going to receive all of the things we put ourselves out there for. SO in order for us to progress, we have to acknowledge failure and progress with it.
ReplyDeleteSelena,
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to your “failure”, I think as a college student we all have this week where we just need to relax. Not take a L but relax because we all know that UF can be overwhelming. I can definitely say that a lesson this semester staying on top of your work is key. It bought me less stress knowing I was organized and had things in order. I am glad you learned from your mistake.
